Found art can easily be integrated with social studies while the students study about history or geography.
You could have the students focus on a specific location or time period and create art from items that would be found in that place or during that time period.
Standard 3.1.4: Give examples of people, events and developments that brought important changes to your community and the
region where your community is located.
Students would be able to find items from the community, grandparents, their own homes, etc. to show what changes in the community have taken place to develop the area.
